Demand-built rostering

Automatically builds rosters based on demand (e.g. number/type of events or service units). You select the start & end times and units to produce, and the system populates what’s needed. Suitable for event-based or service businesses.

Skillset rostering

Create shifts based solely on the required “grade” or skill set, without initially assigning specific employees. Helps with budgeting and planning before you decide who works.

Roster copy/template reuse

You can reuse or copy and paste rosters and recurring rosters.

View/display preferences

Customisable roster grid: show/hide columns (e.g. costs, breaks), toggle whether to display planned / timekeeping / authorised engagements—also, preferences per user (time format, how warnings/errors are shown, etc.).

Engagement types/stages (Planned, Timekeeping, Authorised)

Roster items flow through states: e.g. you plan shifts, then track when people clock in or actual time is captured, and then authorise for payment. Allows comparison of planned vs actual.

Roster acceptance tracking/employee portal

Employees can accept or reject shift offers, see changes, and receive notifications. Great for operations where staff agree on shifts rather than being assigned.

Costing & forecast reporting during rostering

While building the roster, you can see cost estimates (based on hour rates, on-costs, etc.), compare them to the budget, and forecast labour spend. Helps optimise before publishing the roster.
